His title as WBO Super Bantamweight ended in January 23, 2009 after beating Steven Luevano and won the WBO Featherweight belt. Juanma’s last five fights are against Steven Luevano, Rogers Mtagwa, Olivier Lontchi, Gerry Peñalosa and Sergio Manuel Medina. One of his most notable fights was against the Filipino slugger Gerry Peñalosa where Gerry was forced to quit on his stool in their fight in April 2009. Lopez was first boxer to stop Gerry.

Bernabe Concepcion was born on January 20, 1988, a Filipino featherweight boxer who lives in Viga, Catanduanes, Philippines. He is presently the holder of the WBC International Featherweight Crown. Concepcion developed his boxing skills in his early life. He was considered to be one of the most promising boxing talents from the Philippines. He fights mainly in the US under Top Rank Promotions and is making wins away from the Philippines.

Bernabe Concepcion won his first title in China by knockout against a Chinese boxer and gained his two recent belts in the United States. During his first professional bout at 17 years old he suffered his first knockdown but was luckily able to floor his veteran opponent in the early rounds of that fight. After a year, Concepcion won the WBC youth super bantamweight title by getting a unanimous decision win over his undefeated opponent.
